E-Sports Metrowest League

Calling all Norwood gamers! This league will have three divisions, Youth Division (Grades 3-5), Teen Division (Grades 6-12), and Adult Division (Ages 18+) will compete against opponents in-town and from the neighboring communities of Dover, Medway, Millis, Holliston, Ashland, Franklin, and Medfield!

League is being run in conjunction with GG Leagues recreational eSports gaming site.

REQUIRED necessary equipment:
-- You need to own the specific game
-- You need to own the game system
-- You need an Internet connection to play the games online
-- You need to have the online gaming account (ie, Playstation Plus)
-- You also will need to register with GG Leagues Gaming Systems for an online account. This information will be sent to registered participants.

LEAGUE DETAILS:
-- These are the same details for all the leagues. This spring season will last 5 weeks of regular play with 1 week of playoffs (6 weeks total). 
-- Regular season games will last up to an hour.
-- For the playoffs, the top 4 teams will play a single elimination playoff bracket. Playoffs typically run for 3 hours for the winning teams, so please plan accordingly.

GAMING SCHEDULE:

Tuesdays: Fortnite 1V1 [on multiple platforms] (Youth, Teen, & Adult divisions)

Wednesdays: Rocket League 1V1 Beginner [on multiple platforms] (Youth, Teen, & Adult divisions)

Wednesdays: Rocket League 1V1 Competitive [on multiple platforms] (Youth, Teen, & Adult divisions)

Thursdays: Super Smash Bros. [on Nintendo Switch] (Youth, Teen, & Adult divisions)


GAMING INFORMATION:

FORTNITE 1V1 - Tuesdays
Apr. 27 - Jun. 1
Youth 7-8pm
Teen 8-9pm
Adult 9-10pm
All players must have their own FORTNITE account and ONE of the following gaming systems:
- XBox with XBox Live account*
- PlayStation with PlayStation Plus account*
- Switch with Nintendo Online account*
- PC or Mobile with dependable Internet connectivity*

*Internet connection needed for weekly competitive play as all games will be played online. Regular season will run from the week of April 26th through the week of May 24th; playoffs will take place the week of May 31st.

*All organized, online, competitive gameplay is scheduled weekly through this GG Leagues System. Through this system, all players will be able to see and access the league bracket, submit their scores, report wins/losses and will need to upload a screenshot of the endgame score report.


ROCKET LEAGUE 1V1 BEGINNER- Wednesdays
